As part of the construction of a major new distribution park in Royal Tunbridge Wells, we were appointed to design and install three kingpost retaining walls across the site. These retaining walls were required in areas where space was limited and where works were located close to protected trees, requiring a solution that was both space-efficient and vibrationless.
Kingpost retaining walls were selected as the most suitable option, offering a minimal footprint which minimises the excavation and working space required thus allowing installation to proceed safely without disturbing sensitive root structures. All works were carried out from piling platforms prepared by the client.
