Suttle Piling brings certainty and simplicity to ground engineering projects right from the start when undertaking detailed ground investigations to specifying the most appropriate permanent cost-effective ground solutions.
Building a detailed picture of the site conditions below ground through geotechnical surveys and intrusive surveys avoid a multitude of unexpected problems, ones that could throw your project plan off course from the very start.
Having the right partner at the ground investigation stage who understands the potential risks and methodology options will ensure the right investigations are completed safely right from the outset. Ensuring the essential data is captured, professionally assessed and can reliably inform project decision making.
Suttle Piling ground engineers consider the technical requirements of your project along with geotechnical data and any constraints of the location such as access, ground stability, historical and heritage structures and environmental sensitivity.
Our ground investigation activities include undertaking deep investigatory boreholes, In-situ SPT testing, hand excavated trial holes, sheer vanes tests, groundwater installations, geotechnical and geo-environmental laboratory testing. All data is accurately captured into a comprehensive factual report along with permanent solution recommendations.
With those permanent solutions we are then able to offer support to select the most suitable piling and ground support technique and equipment both for initial build costs and the asset lifecycle. To do this our designers consider multiple factors including ground conditions and stability, ground water, potential obstructions, contamination and access constraints. From this we carry out detailed design work and select the most appropriate piling and ground engineering method and specification. Final designs aim to simplify follow-on operations and future maintenance.
