Suttle Projects returned to Curzon in February and March to continue our ongoing support for HS2, undertaking the extraction of previously installed sheet piles and installing additional temporary cofferdams.
From Installation to Extraction and Reuse
Earlier in the project, our team installed two temporary sheet pile cofferdams at Curzon, providing safe, controlled working areas for critical construction activities. With those works now completed, it was time to extract the original sheet piles and install two further cofferdams to support the next phase of the project.
What makes this operation particularly noteworthy is our commitment to efficiency and sustainability. The sheet piles extracted from the first cofferdams were reused to construct the second set, significantly reducing:
- Material consumption
- Project costs
- Carbon emissions by reducing lorry movements
