Due to the coastal location, the works were governed by a Marine Management Organisation (MMO) licence, with a restricted construction window. Exceeding this window would have required a reapplication, risking delays and additional costs. Through careful planning and early coordination with the MMO and the client, we ensured compliance and met the required deadlines.
Tidal conditions posed a significant constraint, particularly for pile installation and concrete backfilling. Working from land rather than relying on marine-based equipment provided significant cost and time savings for the client. Tight access through private gardens required efficient plant selection and movement planning.
